Instead of spending money on the hose bibs that require a lot of turns these are quick on/off with a quarter turn. I got the big bag so that I could replace a lot of them around the house as I had several old hose bibs with broken handles. All you need for installation is pipe thread sealant and appropriate sized wrenches.
Set these up with my garden water system. I needed quite a few to set up and these were much cheaper than the big box stores. I am very happy with the quality and they appear to be very durable.
It is not clearly explained in the product description, but these valves are not true 3/4" ball valves. The internal valve ball cannot be measured without disassembly, but whatever it is (3/8"-5/8") it is very much not the 3/4" inch opening I was looking for. I made it work, but I am eventually going to have to replace these with actual 3/4" ball valves.Description could be made better by including what the actual valve orifice is, which is not 3/4".
I help maintain a Senior Retirement Center of 278 Victory Gardens(4'x25'each). Every bed has their own water supply hose bibb. When a old hose bibb fails, we replace it with one of these ball valves. So far, we have had no failures and they are easy for seniors to turn on and off. It has only been about eight months since we started using these ball valve hose bibbs but so far so good.
I go through a lot of these. The Florida sun destroys anything left outside in the sun long enough. Buying them one at a time can be that expensive but in bulk makes sense. Plus it’s a good product.
